The Yamaha ATS-2090 is a 2.1 channel soundbar system that includes a wireless subwoofer and built-in Amazon Alexa voice control, delivering a total output power of 200 watts (50W × 2 channels for the soundbar, 100W for the subwoofer). The 36-5/8" soundbar features four 1-3/4" cone drivers plus two 1" dome tweeters, while the wireless subwoofer houses a 6-1/2" cone driver for deep, room-filling bass.
The system supports DTS Virtual:X virtual 3D surround sound and includes selectable sound modes for music, TV programs, movies, sports, and games. Connectivity options include HDMI with ARC and 4K pass-through (HDR10, HLG, HDCP 2.3), a digital optical input, Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz), and Bluetooth 4.2. Wireless music streaming is supported natively, and the system is compatible with the Yamaha Sound Bar Controller app. The Compressed Music Enhancer feature improves audio quality for Bluetooth streaming, and the Bass Extended mode deepens low-frequency response.
Audio format support includes Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS Digital Surround, and high-resolution file formats including WAV/FLAC up to 192 kHz, ALAC up to 96 kHz, and MP3/WMA/AAC up to 48 kHz. The soundbar measures 36-5/8" × 2-1/2" × 4-1/4" and weighs 6 lbs; the subwoofer measures 7-1/2" × 16-1/2" × 16" and weighs 17.4 lbs.
